    Default Pokemon Pronunciation

Okay I've decided to set up this thread so we can check and comapre how we're pronouncing the names of pokémon. I want to know how you pronounce their names. My first one is Milotic.

    Is it pronounced:
    my-low-tick,
    mee-low-tick
or mih-low-tick? ("mih" as in the "mi" sound in the word "mint" or "miserable")

I think it's Mee-lo-tic, but that could just be me. Perhaps look it up in wikipedia?
We could all take a lesson from crayons:

    Some are sharp

    Some are beautiful

    And all are different colors

But they learn to live in the same box

You know where this is going;)

Yep, agreeing with Kitt. At least that's the way I've always pronounced it.

I say, gard-de-vwaar. ("aar" like in "aardvark")
I think that's how they say it on the animé too.

Gar-de-vwa, the "voir" would usually mean a vwa sound, at least in French.

    Mil [like millilitre]-lot-tick.

    I agree with The Lacemaker.

I really would love it if someone could find out how its pronounced on PBR, though.

What do we think about Chinchou (I think its chin-cho, rather than chin-chow)

In the anime they pronounce Chinchou chin-chow, and that's how I pronounce it too.

Miotic is my-low-tick, and and always shall be. Spheal is normally meant to be pronounced sfeel, but if you trouble with the sph you can pronounce it suh-feel.

Pi-Ka-Choo, which I suspect you already knew. Oh and Gardevoir is Gahr-dih-vwahr, or something like that. I've always pronounced Sceptile sep-tyle, but that's just me.

    Hi smartass.

Anyway, how does a person pronounce Kyogre? I call it Ki-yo-girl but it's almost definitely wrong.
