BTW I have a Qn. That is, when I copy the sprites from Pe2k, I get a black square surrounding the sprite. I'm using Vista. Help?

That's just the transparency on paint. Erase it and you'll be fine.

The new Paint has transparency? Urgh.

And so we begin another round of "How long can The Editor stay off-topic while being relavent enough to warrant the continued existence of his posts?" Our first port of call is the supposedly important question of forms. Personally I feel they crush imagination, which is why I endeavour to use them as little as possible, and, when they are foisted upon me, consider them to be an insult to both my intelligence and skill (whatever that may manifest itself as. Research continues...). Now, there are obviously those who love forms to bits and won't accept anything which isn't written on A4 paper with proper spelling and grammar, and at least an adress, if not a return adress as well (metaphorically speaking). What makes them want to stifle this creative process? Are they afraid to show that they too possess some imagination? Or do they worry that the client will not appreciate their work? Is it just a means of turning a sprite from a means of personal expression into just another mass-produced article assembled in a workshop by faceless nobodies, whose souls are kept well away from the final product?

On a similar note, what about the customer? Do they really want to explain every minute detail to the workmen on the other end of the line, or would they prefer to be pleasantly surprised by what they get? For surely some of us would not trust someone who has to be told every little thing to be a professional of their craft? I certainly would not. A workman should be prepared to take matters into his own hands, to show that he is capable of more than just following instructions. For what are we here for other than art? And what is art without the soul of the creator?

And, just to maintain some on-topic aspect of this post, I'd quite like to see what you make of this:
