you know back in the day i had disdain for overachievers in school because it was kinda like "well if i had the perfect life like this little rich boy does i could do that well too because i am a million times smarter than him." but that was when i still took it seriously, at least moreso than i do now. some people use grades to validate their egos. thats fine. i post at a pokemon forum to validate my ego for fuck sake, also because pd RULES. so hey everyone needs to validate their ego somehow, but at least this forum is actually more important than fucking high school of all things.

The thing is, I can't NOT do moderately well in school, or my parents will think I'm doing freaking drugs. It's just my reputation, being smart. Hell, I'm getting just about straight B+'s while never studying and putting little-to-no effort into my schoolwork and homework. It's virtually impossible to go straight D's in my school without being genuinely, extraordinarily, dumb. Being moderately smart and never putting any effort in sends you through with straight B-'s, at least.

My parents decided to send me to a challenging private school. I hate private school . I cried when they told me I was going, but all my older brothers went here, and so I had to follow in their footsteps.

I don't think there is really a point between private and public. We all end up at the same universities, so the private school people waste so much money.
