Link between cubone and kanghaskahn?

Have you ever noticed that the little baby in the puoch of a kanghaskhan looks like a baby cubone? I think that that kanghaskhan IS the mother of cubone... What do YOU think?

I posted an image of a skull-less Cubone on the old PD ages ago. I edited away the skull and drew what it's head might look like underneath. I'll see if I can dig it up and post it here.
