    Which is the right thing to do? Revive a topic that has been dead for ages, or start a topic on the exact same subject?

    I'd revive it. Most of the time, people won't even remember a topic that existed over a month ago, even if they posted in it. And if you start a new one, those that DO remember will just be pissed cuz there was already such a topic. I say if you have something new to contribute and you're not just post farming, resurrect away!
