Not everyone that smokes a joint is snorting some coke a few days later. That's completely ridiculous to think. But yes you're right, for stupid people weed is a gateway drug. But for me personally my high over 8 years has never changed, it's always been the same amount of weed needed to get me the same buzz. And even if it wasn't, any sensible person would understand that the high you get from coke is incredibly different from the high you get from weed, and can't even be compared. So to believe that coke will fill the lost high you get from weed is just stupid.
Stupid people do stupid, hard drugs.
Being responsible and reasonable when smoking, as with everything, is alright.
First of all thats a load of bullshit. Weed kills more brain cells, do you know why? Its becuase doctors actually recommend it for better helath since it acts as a substance that relaxes your body which is why it makes reaction time more slow. Just a simple point, becuase the smoke comes from the weed you could logically say that it is the weed that cuases the effects. Also Weed has many times more ammonia and such that cuase heart disease. True not everyone who smokes weed will be snorting cocaine but certainly someone with a complete life style around weed wont have qualms with trying some new things. Of course coke and weed have different effects becuase they are completely different drugs. But not everything in moderation is tolerable or beneficial, for instance you could sacrifice human lives to satan in moderation but it wont hold any pros, just a downward spiral

I knew someone would be dumb enough to bring this up.
I never said moderation. I said responsible and reasonable. It's not responsible or reasonable to kill. Comparing killing people and smoking a joint is pretty gay.

there really arent enough case studies of marijuana to make great arguments either way in regards to its heatlh, although the tashkin study certainly looked legitimate, but the main argument against marijuana use is the culture/lifestyle.

Well I don't think I'm gonna argue this one anymore, most people seem to be set in their ways already, and there's not much I can do to change that.
I am going to say, however, that people should definitly research that crap ALOT before they go put that stuff in their bodies... And if, after looking at all the facts, and seeing the effects around them, they still decide to do it, well I guess that's just their choice, albeit a very unwise one.

@ Miss Raichu, you actually have encouraged experimentation, read from the beginning if you forgot, and also I hope I never end up as one of your patients if you end up being a doctor.
I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. What God desires is here [points to head] and here [points to heart] and what you decide to do every day, you will be a good man - or not.

So because the majority of popularized pot smokes are dumb fucks, that makes pot in general stupid and bad? Is that what you're saying.

Great, so I guess that means that because the majority of popularized Americans are fucking idiots, you all are.
Because the majority of popularized blacks are criminals and undereducated they all are.
Because the majority of popularized Indians are drunks they all are.

I could keep going, but I'm sure you get the point.

You can't have something killing more brain cells when there's no other thing to compare to. For reference, "kung fu jimmy chow", cannabis, weed, maurijuana, 3fer, leaf, pot and grass are all the same thing.

Yes, because me informing the ignorant of their misconceptions and encouraging people to be open minded and do some fucking research makes me a terrible doctor.

just like you shouldnt smoke tobacco because you will probably get cancer, you shouldnt smoke weed because you will probably become an enormous faggot. some people smoke tobacco and dont get cancer. not a whole lot, so its better not to do it in the first place.

Even healthy people get cancer. it's a cell defect, you can get it in hundreds of ways.

So adding to the risk by a small percentage isn't going to change much.

I'm sorry God, I really am. Before now you actually seems like an intelligent, reasonable person.
But you're entire argument is stupid and ignorant, and you seem to be fighting it just because you don't like the kids in your high school who smoked up.
Like I said before, you should do some research first, rather then just being a mindless sheep and accepting shallow misconceptions.

well i conceded that the tashkin study was certainly valid and marijuana is probably less physically harmful than tobacco. and i have been good friends with people who were avid marijuana smokers. so no i think that assessment is wrong.

Does this argument really need to be drawn out more? Each to their own opinion. If cannabis is as awful as some of you claim, then those who smoke it are clearly going to get punished through effect, so there's no need to exacerbate things.

i mean really it isnt difficult to look at most people who smoke marijuana and realize the culture they associate with and how they socialize is built largely around marijuana. of course there are exceptions but for the most part regular marijuana usage leads to a shitty lifestyle.

No simply saying something like everything in moderation is tolerable is the true gay comment. Seriously what the fuck do you do daily, tell people its ok to have sex with minors under the age of consent as long as they do it in moderation, do you know how fucking stupid you sound. To put it simply anything that has terribad effects to your body is not applicable to the moderation rule.

That's kind of true. There were people in my old school who talked about how high they were going to get after school, at the movie theatre, at home without their parents, at the park or anywhere else. Then they just spoke about how "cool" it was and how they couldn't wait until next time. And all kinds of crap.

Then there was all kinds of drama to it about not having enough money and crap.
