I was wondering what would be the best moves for mewto on Pokemon Leaf Green

The best thing to do it teach it multi type attacks, which is what I've done with mine. Natsu (thats its nickname) knows Psychic, Thunderbolt, Solarbeam, and Ice Beam. Mewtwo is a Special Attack powerhouse, so it makes sense to teach it moves that would be highly effective against almost any type. Keep Psychic or any other Psychic type attack, because it would be stupid not to have it know an attack that gets another power boost because the attack is the same type Mewtwo is. Feeding Carbos, Protein, and all the other vitamins helps in upping its base stats as well.

Now, Metronome isn't a bad attack to let it know, but in a head to head battle it isn't a move you can rely on. And if you wanna be on the safe side, let it learn/keep Recover so as to protect yourself if you need it. I never have though; my Natsu is a fortress, and is my trump card in any battle.

Calm mind is eh; I'm a more of an offesive fighter with Mewtwo, so thats a waste of a move for me. And if you're talking about Calm Mind against Mewtwo...psha. I've highly doubt that any other Pokemon capable of learning Calm Mind can move faster than Mewtwo...well, at least against mine.

Mewtwos are strong so dont waster non attacking moves (other than recover) on them because
A. thats just wrecking a good pokemon
B. its just wasting a move

and mewtwo isnt that good, a rayquaza is stronger. but i guess it depends on what moves you teach it

Legendtaker, you have no idea what you're talking about. Ask Kittsuera. I took down a team of his Rayquaza's with my Mewtwo. Mewtwo totally pwns Rayquaza when it comes to speed and power, especially since my Mewtwo knows Ice Beam.

XD Yeah I now have about seven Rayquaza... there strong and all but they didn't stand a chance against Teresa's Mewtwo... with a combo of speed and power, toped off with the right attacks, makes one deadly opponent.
As a side note my Pikachu in yellow has a similar stat combination, a ton of power and speed, at level 86 it could stand up to level 100 Pokemon in link cable battles too bad they can’t be transferred to the new games… anyways Mewtwo is very powerful it should be taught powerful attacks since it will almost always be the first to attack…. Who needs defense when your opponent can’t make a move since they‘re knocked out in the first turn … all Rayquaza's power is useless if it can't use it...
I only have one Rayquaza that can with stand an attack long enough to make a move and even then it doesn't have the power to stop a Mewtwo in it's tracks with one shot. ^-^;

yeh but she has probably maxed out all the stats as well. ye mewtwos are good but if u versed them both jst caught that would be a good battle. i might do that.
