Posting Teams - An Overview

When you're posting a team, there is some important factors to take note of. The following are the types you should post and how you can format them:

a)Shoddy Battle / Netbattle

Posting a Shoddy Battle team is relatively easy. Don't type out anything - click Tools -> Export to Text

As for NetBattle, File -> Export to Text

Explanations and comments can be added underneath individual Pokemon.

You should also state which metagame this team is for.

b) Ingame teams

Teams used for ingame purposes are a little more complicated. Just a little. You should try to state the following things, and the Topic Title can be anything you want, but just take into consideration that the following things would be helpful:

- The game system this team is on, and the game system(s) you have access to. You may also include if you have WiFi connection.
- Whether you intend to use the team for a competitive spectrum, or for beating the Elite Four or Battle Tower.
- How willing you are to breed for egg moves, the range of TMs you have
access to, etc.

It is plausable to arrange your team in a methology that is suited to individual needs, as long as it's comprehensive and relatively understandable i.e. many cryptological masterminds don't need to be called to the scene.

A staple format, however, could be:

Lanturn @ [Item]
EVs: [EVs, optional]
Nature: [Nature]
Trait: [Ability, there is two possible abilities for a good percantile of Pokemon species]
- Move1
- Move2
- Move3
- Move4

NOTE, HOWEVER, YOUR POKEMON TEAM WILL BE DELETED IF MOVESETS ARE NOT STATED. THIS IS THE MAIN PRINCIPLE TO BE EXAMINED AND SHOULD NEVER BE DISREGARDED.

on the competitive battling spectrum they are pretty important i'd say, since every last stat point counts. ingame less so, but it would still help, especially if you're a competitive wifi player. plus i think youre wrong about 10 extra ev points, infact i think you're completely wrong but i can't be bothered to check so i think i'll give you some kind of benefit of a doubt.
