    Default Weird color pokémon

    Hi.
I've already hear about shiny pokémon. But about 10 minutes ago, I meet a green and blue Shellos near Pastoria city. I capture it, but I never see anything shiny around the pokémon.

    So I was wondering 2 things :
    - Is that a shiny pokémon?
    - What difference there is (are) between shiny and normal pokémon, except the color?

I must say it's very weird a blue and green Shellos ^_^.

Well, shiny Pokémon, when you find them, should have stars around them at first. Another thing is they will have different colors than the one in your Pokédex. And shiny Pokémon aren't any better or different from non-shiny ones, there just really rare and cool to have.

    1. Band is your favorite sport.
    2. You hum band songs in other classes.
    3. You've ever done roll-step while walking with a full plate or glass to keep things from spilling.
    4. You've never been on a Friday night date, thanks to the football games.
    5. You walk in step with any music you hear.

Blonde, that was completely pointless to what she was asking..

There are a few Pokemon in Sinnoh that come with multiple forms and colors. Shellos being one. Another being Cherrim I believe. They aren't shiny, it's just a way to say that Pokemon west of the mountains are different then the ones to the east.

But like Blonde said, if it was shiny you would know, as you apparently already know.

    Ok, thanks.

Since I saw another one, I thought that it wasn't a shiny one... since the probabilities of seeing one are very low ^_^.

    And, mountains? Which mountains?

Mount Coronet, the mountain/mountain range that splits Sinnoh in half.

And the chances are 1/8192. Asher, get your information right.

if you really want to find a shiny pokemon then use your pokeradar in a big patch of grass.do not run!always catch or attack.try to move more than 4 patches of grass before walking into another piece of grass.do not go around the edges.do not ride your bike.do not leave the area that your at.
    p.s.
it may take more than about 15 battles before you finally see one
    p.s.s
it is supposed to be the same pokemon every time,if not you have to start all over.

That's called chaining, and it has its own process which is somehow more complete that what you are saying.

And you could only go in the pal park if you have the national dex...

And the "chaining", how does it work if it's not exactly this way?

I think chaining is bullshit personally. It's chaining defeats. Beat a bunch of one certain pokemon in a row to better try to find shiny's
