Few Questions

Gold question: How come is it that on mine and my friends game, we can save but when we restart the game we can't select that character and pokemon from where we left off almost every time? It drives us crazy.

Diamond & Pearl question: What are all of the people we can travel with (Like Cheryl, Buck, Mira, etc.) and their locations?

Gold: If you save the game, then next time you turn on the game, there should be a choice for you to load that game, right above where it says "New Game". If you mean start a new game entirely, of course you can't have the same pokemon.

D/P: There is a cave below the Cycling Path, you get there via travelling up from the end of the path, it's about half way back up the route. Go through the cave until the end to escort one person back through. (Mira)

Once you get to Canalave City, you can go north to Iron Island, once you make your way through you will find Ridley, who will ask you to escort him out. Once out he gives you the egg for Riolu/Lucario. So only bring 5 pokemon.

You also team up with someone at Stark Mountain before getting Heatran.
