    Default Where does your heart lie?

    This isn’t about a religion but knowing God as your Lord and savior. All the religion and good works in the world can get you into heaven. It’s about having a relationship with God. You don’t have to be perfect to have a relationship with God, only be willing to trust in Him to forgive you for your sins. It doesn’t matter what you may have done or gone through in the past, for God can forgive you of your sins if you are willing to accept him as your Lord and savior. If you find your self in a bad situation God can help you through it if you trust him with all your heart. He can change your life and make it new if you live your life for Him. You don’t have to be religious to know God as you Lord and savior; only repent your sins and let Him into you heart, to live your life for Him. If you ask him to for give you, you don’t have to be religious only live your live as you would if your body was the Temple of God.
    I do not lie, if you follow God everything will not all of sudden be good. In fact the devil will come against you because you are no longer going the way he wants you to be going. Even those who are good and righteous are going the way the devil wants them to be going if they do not have God in their hearts and have not asked Him to forgive them of their sins.
    When the devil comes against you and things look bad just trust in God and push through. When your about to make a break through don’t let the devil stop you from getting all that God has for you. If you read the Bible and pray you will find that the answers to the problems you may be facing in life. If you ask in pray believing God will hear you. Don’t think that because things don’t always go your way or the way you had expected it, that God isn’t with you. Things happen for a reason, but know that God doesn’t want bad things to happen to you. God wants you to be blessed. All you have to do is trust in him; that doesn’t mean if its God’s will then it will happen any ways. You have to push forward and take hold of the things he has for you. God has a plan for your life, He can open the door and show you the path but he can’t make you walk through if you don’t want to.

    See that right there? THAT'S what turns people away from God. People claiming to know what He wants. In fact, was SO perfect, I can't help but wonder if you were in fact being sarcastic about the whole thing and getting a quick laugh off anyone who took it seriously.

    well I'm pretty much agnostic so I can't exactly say my heart lies in any faith. That being said, I don't really believe in god.

    Sin offerings (look it up [it's near the end of Leviticus, I think]): who needs Jesus when you can ask a priest to sacrifice a year-old bull for you?

    Why would I want to live forever? As the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy explains, only those born with immortality know how to cope with it. If it suddenly happens, say through Jesus, you might end up as bitter and twisted as Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged. And what would I do with all that time?

    Quoting bible verses is irrelevant in debating with people who do not believe in the bible.

    And how do you defend your church spending a BILLION DOLLARS on aesthetics? Do you know what kind of humanitarian things you could do with that kind of money. You could have funded hundreds of African villiages, preventing the death by starvation, illness, and even genocide of potentially hundreds of thousands of people.

    now i am not bashing christianity as i consider myself somewhat of a christian but you cannot act as if a religious belief is fact especially when you defend it with nothing other than christian sources themselves
