    Nobody cares if it's valid or not because of the influence. Societies wouldn't have existed without Christianity,some good music wouldn't, Marco Polo and Chris Columbus would have had no motivation to do anything, Belgium would have never been formed, etc. One can say our world wouldn't be complete with some false idea of faith - and, yeah, the Civil Wars and the Crusades were inevitable.
