the year 2000 -PART OF THE 90????
was there ever a year 0 AD?
if not then 1990 would be part of the 80s, and 2000 would be part of the 90s, because a decade is defined as 10 years and the first decade of the AD wouldnt have been over til 11 AD since there was no year 0!
someone help me with this. i cant accept it and its scaring me.
You would have had to count the 0 itself to have an official year. Year zero had to exist. Worth researching.
Here's a tricky question: Was it Year 0 AD or BC? Because I'm thinking they switched it to AD on Year 1.
I think they just kept it as neutral until sometime within the last 1000's years or so. I think they just added it afterwards. I don't think there was a "First Day Of A.D" party.
Well what Im looking at on wikki here are the facts:
A year zero does not exist in:
* the Gregorian calendar
* the Julian calendar (predecessor to the Gregorian calendar)
A year zero does exist in:
* ISO 8601:2004
* astronomical year numbering with a defined year zero equal to 1 BC
* Buddhist calendars
* Hindu calendars

the year should actually be 4 billion and something considering year zero should be when earth first began
No one can actually tell when the earth began. It was created at like the the big bang, but didn't become livable until a long time later. So, the earth is like x old.

well latida to you, I got on honor roll once in seventh grade, and it never happened again.
I've been in high honors since they stopped giving is S'es and N's. (I got all N's by the way.)
what the hell is a N. that sounds like an elementary school grading system.

Satisfactory and Non-satisfactory. It was like behavior and things. And Tim, I get high honors because I HAVE AN IQ OF 140!!! I really don't do much besides let my teachers' voices lull me to sleep.....
so what if you have an iq of 140, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. I know a lot of people who are smart but are terrible underachievers. IQ isn't everything; a lot of it's EQ (emotional quotient). If you're not up to par emotionally and mentally, IQ means absolutely nothing.
