For current threats number 1 would be general shortcomings of society and its results.
At least SOMEONE's contributing.

Nocturne is one of my least favorite people.
Ironically, he is the only one really contributing useful info for this thread.

Everything after number 1 pretty much stem from the shortcomings of society.
#1 Shortcoming of Society is the simple fact that bad things CAN happen. But if bad things didn't happen, how would we know what was good?

In the best yes, but recently we have run into a wall. In all times past, the currency used always had value of its own (e.g coins of precious metals, rods of iron, mill stones, services, etc.). However, what we now use is worthless realistically and we have no specie to back up the paper currency. What the world uses now is money essentially based on a trust system or metaphorical worth. We can't really replace it.
We would, but it still drives us down in economical dependency drastically.
I mean, we would still obviously be able to rectify the problems eventually, but it would be a hell of a lot harder.
But if the value was metaphorical, then in theory someone could go out and say that the dollar was worth more today than yesterday.
Take that, NYSE.

currency is actually some crazy shit
thats about the extent of my knowledge on the subject
I think whoever came up with the idea of paper money really threw off a major part of global steadiness.
nah paper money isnt that bad
It really is. In the past, currency was generally a precious metal or some object of practical use or value to society at large; but now, we are supposed to rely on some sort of trust system of metaphorical value and it just does not fly.
um it flies pretty well
Right now it does. But the idea of it is just ridiculous. Currency was picked for a reason. The ability to mass produce it cheaply is unrealistic.
Did you know that black holes move across the galaxy? We're screwed.
