Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum Walkthrough:
- Solaceon Town
- Route 210
- Route 215
Free of Worry!
Before entering Solaceon Town, you will see some Berry trees (next to the PokeMart); pick those up. The first thing you'll be able to do is get the Pokemon History application for your Poketch from the man standing outside the Pokemon Center. Next to the Pokemon Center is the Pokemon News Center. Bring the man inside the Pokemon he wants (different each day) and he'll give you either a Quick Ball, Heal Ball, Timer Ball, Great Ball, or Ultra Ball. Walk up a bit and you'll find the Pokemon Day Care Center. You can leave up to two of your Pokemon here to gain levels while you're walking or have them make eggs. After leaving two Pokemon here for the same time, a man will appear in the Day Care Center who'll give you the Day-Care Checker for your Poketch. With this device, you'll be able to see the status of the Pokemon you leave here.
There are three ledges to explore on the east side of town. The left ledge leads you to a useless house. The middle ledge leads you to a house where the lady inside will give you a Seal Case, which is used to store stickers for decorating your PokeBalls. The right ledge leads you to the Solaceon Ruins, where you'll find trainers, items, and Unown. Right outside, you'll also be able to pick up a PP Up. Inside the Solaceon Ruins, check the top-left staircase for a Repel (a Fire Stone in Platinum). The top-right staircase is much more interesting, as it takes you to a level with more staircases. Now take the bottom-left staircase. Fight the single trainer and go down the bottom-left staircase for an Escape Rope (a Water Stone in Platinum). Continue down the top-right staircase and then the top-left staircase from there. The bottom-right staircase has a Big Mushroom (a Thunder Stone in Platinum). Now go up the top-left staircase and then the bottom-left staircase. Now you'll see four lovely itemballs containing a Nugget, a Rare Candy, a Mind Plate, and an Odd Incense. In Platinum, you'll find HM05 - Defog instead of a Rare Candy. Now either use an Escape Rope to get yourself out of here, or, if you feel like it, try to find your way out.
Route 210
Route 210 is covered with tall grass, which your Bicycle cannot pass through; however, you still need to use it. The first thing you should do is pick up the Berries. You should get on your Bicycle to go up the slippery slope (using the speed gear) and obtain TM51 - Roost from the guy standing on the right. Do the same for the left side to fight more trainers and get a Great Ball (Super Repel in Platinum). The Cafe Cabin sells Moomoo Milk and also has trainers you can battle. You'll notice that a funny group of Psyduck is blocking the road, so head east to Route 215.
Route 215
It will begin raining once you're on Route 215. Head up the small, wooden bridge to continue on this route. Fight the trainer and pick up the Ether. As you go up the other bridge, talk to the Blackbelt facing north to receive TM66 - Payback. Go north across the bridge and pick up the hidden Honey at the location shown on the screenshot. Get off the bridge, cut the tree and fight the Blackbelt. Afterwards, pick up the Fist Plate. You can either hop over the ledge now, or go around to fight the other Blackbelt. In Platinum, you can pick up a Fist Plate. In any case, cut the tree at the south to pick up the Bluk Berries and Pecha Berries. Now go up the raised area and first pick up the Guard Spec. by going south on the bridge. Continue east on Route 215. Cut the first tree you see to obtain TM43 - Secret Power. You can pick up a Full Heal by going west a little and hopping over a ledge. Keep on going east, pick up the Berries, and you'll arrive at Veilstone City.
