Gold/Silver/Crystal Walkthrough - Goldenrod City (Again)/Ice Path

Now you're back at Goldenrod City. Now, heal your Pokemon, and it's back to the Radio Tower!

Radio Tower Once Again

The other floors of the Radio Tower (which cannot be accessed before), can be now. The bad news: The floors are filled with Rockets. The first thing that you'll need to do it quite easy. Defeat the Rocket members as you make it to the top. There is a locked door on the third floor; It'll be opened later on.

There is a Rocket Executive on the top floor who is impersonating as the Director. Beat him, and he'll give you the key to unlock the door to the Underground Warehouse, which can be reached by going into the Underground Tunnel in this city.

Your rival was following you, and wants to fight you (so annoying). He has a Sneasel, one of the new dark-type Pokemon. Still, his Pokemon are quite weak.

Next you will have to press switches to open doors and remove walls. To get to the Female Rocket leader you must push the switches in this order: The Left switch (#3), then Middle (#2), then the Right one (#1). Save The Director

You'll be battling more Rockets until you finally meet the Radio Tower's Director. He'll give you the Card Key to unlock the locked door on the third floor. Of course, you'll now need to unlock the door. After that, beat the rest of the Rockets.

Rainbow Wing, Silver Wing, Or Clear Bell

The Director will come to thank you after you defeat all the Rockets. He'll also give you a special Wing, something you'll need in order to capture either one of two legendary birds. You'll get the Rainbow Wing (to catch Ho-oh) in Gold Version, or the Silver Wing (to catch Lugia) if you have the Silver Version. In Crystal, he'll give you a Clear Bell for capturing Suicune later.

Gifts

Before exiting the Radio Tower, go around to talk to two people. They'll give you free items. A girl in a green dress will give you a Pink Bow, and this other girl will give you TM 11 - Sunny Day.

Free Pokemon

Before leaving the city, stop by this house near the waters on the west to get a free Pokemon (Eevee) from Bill. Like before, you'll need to have a place to hold one more Pokemon. After that, head back to Mahogany Town, and go to the Ice Path.

Ice Path

Exit Mahogany Town to the east until you reach a lake. Take the path that leads above the lake. Continue heading east until you reach a cave. This is Ice Path. Work your way through the path and skate across the ice. Don't forget to pick up HM 07 - Waterfall which allows you to go up waterfalls. You are going to need it shortly after you gain the eighth badge. On the second floor, you will have to push some boulders down a few holes. On the fifth floor, you'll find TM 44 - Rest. After that, you should come out on the other side of the cave in Blackthorn City.
