Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen - Preview
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are two new Pokemon RPGs. To begin discussing about these two games, we must go way back to the time when the first two Pokemon games were released...
The first two Pokemon RPGs released in Japan were Pokemon Red and Green. The Green version was changed to the Blue version in the United States. These two new games, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, are remakes of the original Pokemon games. In other words, everything should pretty much be the same, including landscape, Pokemon, and story. The only major difference should be that the graphics are much better than the originals. Of course, since it's nearly eight years since the original games' release, the two remakes will have plenty of new and exciting features. Since this is just a remake, the land of Johto will not be in these games.
In these two games, you start your adventure as either a boy or a girl. You will then choose one of three starting Pokemon:
Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Then you'll travel through the world of Kanto, a land filled with Pokemon, and
strong trainers. Navigating through the land of Kanto has never been better. There are so many new features in these
games! Here is a list of new features when compared to Ruby/Sapphire and/or Red/Green.
- Help System triggered by the "L" button
- Chatting with local trainers in the Union Room with use of Wireless Adaptor
- Fame Checker (equivalent to Trainer's Eye in Ruby/Sapphire)
- Fun-filled mini games
- Upgraded PokeDex showing all 386 Pokemon
- Nine new islands
- Two new forms of Deoxys: Attack (FireRed), Defense (LeafGreen)
